Mechanical pencils haven't really changed that much over time. But the Pentel® Techniclick® Mechanical Pencil is definitely not your ordinary mechanical pencil. Instead of advancing the lead by clicking the end cap, all you have to do is slide a side button near the hand grip. This means you don't have to stop writing just to advance the lead. The Techniclick® has a transparent barrel and colored accent trim.
